Miigwechwedan / Gratitude, 2019

On behalf of the Board of Directors, kchi miigwech for attending the 25th Anniversary Anishinaabemowin Teg Inc. Language Conference held at the Quattro Conference Centre on March 28 to 31st in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario.

We hope that you found the conference informative and worthwhile. The primary goal of this conference was to celebrate the beginnings of Anishinaabemowin Teg, and to bring its incorporation into being as Anishinaabemowin Teg Inc. This celebration brought together leadership, teachers, friends and community partners in an open dialogue to discuss initiatives and issues facing our First Nation’s Languages and culture.

We believe that our diverse and dynamic group of speakers and panelists provided in-depth insight, as well as, actionable and practical tools of engagement and methods that have worked in their communities; and were able to share how they could be utilized in helping individual First Nation communities become more effective in the on-going efforts and development of their First Nations Languages and culture.

Your presence helped to make this event a great success, and your enthusiasm and positive spirit helped make our time together both productive and fun. We wish you all the best and hope that you continue to support the efforts of Anishinaabemowin Teg Inc., and its Board of Directors.

If you wish to view photos from the event, please visit the ATeg Facebook page or visit the conference page.

Sincerely,
Liz Osawamick,
President, on behalf of Ateg Inc. Board of Directors
